Chainalysis remains subject to an aiding-and-abetting claim brought by Celsius Network's litigation administrator after US District Judge Margaret Garnett dismissed 15 other claims in the Southern District of New York. The surviving count alleges that Chainalysis knowingly helped Celsius insiders breach fiduciary duties by assisting with a December 2020 release that described a $3.318 billion asset calculation using Chainalysis Reactor as an audit or independent verification. The allegations have not been proven, and the ruling was made at the motion-to-dismiss stage. Twelve claims were dismissed with prejudice, while three consumer-protection claims were dismissed without prejudice and can be amended by Oct. 20. Celsius' estate is pursuing the case through the Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium as part of a broader recovery effort following the lender's 2022 bankruptcy.
