SanDisk shares rose 2.27% to $1,779.38 on Thursday as Citi said constrained NAND supply and expanding artificial-intelligence data-center demand could support pricing and margins through 2028. The move updates earlier reports that placed the stock down nearly 0.7% at $1,728 later in Thursday trading, after a premarket gain. Citi retained its Buy rating and $2,100 price target following Micron Technology's quarterly results, which showed NAND revenue rising 42% sequentially, bit shipments increasing 10% and average selling prices climbing almost 30%. Citi analyst Atif Malik said AI key-value cache workloads could shift toward lower-cost solid-state drives, broadening demand for NAND storage. Micron expects its NAND supply growth in 2026 to lag industry expansion, while industry NAND bit shipments are projected to grow at a mid-20% pace in 2027 and 2028. Investors will monitor NAND pricing, capacity additions, shipment growth and AI-related storage spending.
