Neuromod Devices has appointed Joe Ghiz as Chief Commercial Officer and Shannon Basham as VP of Channel Development as it expands the commercial reach of Lenire, its non-invasive bimodal neuromodulation tinnitus treatment device. Ghiz joins from Align Technology, the company behind Invisalign, where he held global commercial leadership roles and helped scale the clear aligner category. He previously spent more than a decade in sales, marketing and business development leadership at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. Basham has more than 20 years of hearing-care experience, most recently serving as Senior Director of Audiology for Sonova Group in the United States of America. Neuromod CEO Dr. Ross O'Neill said the company is positioned to scale on the basis of clinical evidence, global regulatory approval and commercial adoption, while addressing the needs of 740 million tinnitus sufferers worldwide. Lenire combines audio stimulation with stimulation delivered to the surface of the tongue through its proprietary Tonguetip device. It is prescribed by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional after a comprehensive audiological examination, with patients completing treatment at home. Neuromod says Lenire has CE-mark certification and is the first and only bimodal neuromodulation device to receive De Novo authorization from the US FDA. The device is available in the United States of America, Canada, Europe and Australia, and is also a treatment option through the United States of America Veterans Affairs.
