Gevo said it has sold substantially all Section 45Z tax credits generated by its ethanol and renewable natural gas facilities in 2026, representing $70 million in credits. The company received more than $30 million in cash through Sept. 30 and expects the remaining proceeds within six months. The sales included $50 million of credits transferred on Sept. 30 to a non-financial, publicly traded company and an earlier $20 million sale to Quill Financial, Inc., the parent of Utah-based community bank Quill Bank. Gevo said it expects to generate an additional $7 million to $10 million in 2027 credits after completing debottlenecking at its North Dakota facility, which is expected to raise production capacity and associated carbon capture by 10% to 15%.
