Infosys shares rose 5.72% to $11.38 after the company announced a strategic collaboration with Columbia University to expand enterprise artificial intelligence research in New York. The partnership includes the Infosys Topaz–Columbia University Enterprise AI Center, led by Columbia Engineering and based at Infosys' One World Trade Center office. The center will connect university researchers, Infosys teams, corporate clients, students and technology practitioners through research, workshops and co-innovation programs focused on practical commercial applications. Its agenda covers AI-first user experiences and business processes, responsible and sustainable AI, and AI for marketing, including natural-language interaction, workflow automation, governance, cybersecurity, regulation, explainability, energy use, personalization, campaign automation, predictive analysis and content creation. The collaboration builds on Infosys Topaz and the company's broader AI-first consulting and technology strategy, while giving Columbia an industry setting for applied research and student engagement. Infosys said the partnership is intended to help enterprises evaluate and deploy generative and agentic AI responsibly at scale. The company has more than 325,000 employees serving businesses in 59 countries and included forward-looking statements and risk disclosures in its announcement.
