Unity Software shares rose 6.52% to $43.60 on Thursday as investors extended a positive reaction to Accenture’s stronger-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results and above-consensus fiscal 2027 sales outlook. Accenture reported per-share profit of $3.29 against the $3.18 analyst estimate, while revenue increased 6% year over year to $18.70 billion, exceeding the $18.03 billion consensus. New business signings reached $22.2 billion, and CEO Julie Sweet highlighted 141 contracts worth at least $100 million each, a quarterly record. Accenture’s guidance for fiscal 2027 revenue of $76.43 billion to $78.65 billion also topped the $76.41 billion Wall Street expectation, while adjusted earnings guidance was close to consensus. The results helped ease concerns that artificial intelligence could undermine traditional software and technology-services businesses, supporting broader sector sentiment and Unity despite the companies’ different business models. Separately, Unity remains involved in an unresolved legal dispute with AppLovin over alleged data collection by Unity’s Ad Quality software, as well as a separate arbitration case alleging breach of contract and trade-secret misappropriation. AppLovin’s claims have not been resolved, and the dispute was unrelated to Unity’s share move, according to the report.
