Elutia Inc. received the full $8 million held in escrow after the October 1, 2025 closing of its $88 million BioEnvelope sale to Boston Scientific Corporation, with no indemnity claims. The release completes the three funding milestones Elutia identified in its second-quarter earnings report: the Avenue Capital loan facility closed August 11, 2026, and the SimpliDerm divestiture closed August 17, 2026. Elutia believes its capital is sufficient through the first full year of the expected NXT-41x commercial launch and into 2029, without an equity offering. The company continues to expect a favorable FDA (U.S. drug regulator) clearance decision in the first half of 2027. NXT-41x is an antibiotic-eluting surgical matrix (tissue-support material that locally delivers antibiotics) being developed for the $1.5 billion U.S. plastic and reconstructive surgery market, where post-operative infection rates can reach 15–20%.
