India’s Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals, backed by healthcare-focused buyout firm Quadria Capital, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO), a newspaper advertisement showed on Friday. The company appointed ICICI Securities and IIFL Capital as bankers for the proposed offering, which is expected to combine newly issued shares with stock sold by existing investors. India’s confidential filing mechanism allows companies to submit draft IPO documents to the market regulator without public disclosure, keeping financial and operational details private during the approval process. Founded in 1996, Maxivision operates more than 90 centres across six states and competes with Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care, Centre for Sight and ASG Eye Hospitals. India’s eye-care market is projected to expand to $31.2 billion by 2033 from $12.8 billion in 2025, according to Grand View Research.
