Shinhan Investment Securities raised its target price for LG Electronics (066570) by 61% to 290,000 won, or about $213, implying 37.1% upside from the previous session’s close of 211,500 won. The target is the second-highest among domestic brokerages, behind Kyobo Securities’ 350,000 won. Research fellow Oh Kang-ho said valuation focus is shifting from earnings-driven home appliances and vehicle components toward robotics and energy solutions, including AI-powered HVAC. LG Electronics secured about 600 billion won in cooling-solution orders in the first half of the year, has been listed as an NVIDIA partner in network power and cooling, and completed product-level specification approvals. It plans to open a 32,000-square-meter chiller plant in Windsor, Virginia, in the first half of next year and expand domestic production. The company is also moving CLOi robots toward mass deployment while developing actuators for pilot production. Shinhan expects the energy solutions division’s revenue and operating profit to rise 17% and 39%, respectively, next year, while maintaining a Buy rating.
