A person in their 60s who found 25 million won in cash inside a garbage bag in Incheon received 19.23 million won in August after no owner came forward for six months. The money was discovered on February 10 beside a low-rise multi-unit home in Geumgok-dong, Jemulpo District, while A was collecting used clothing. Police publicized the find, contacted nearby households and investigated possible criminal links, but fingerprints and CCTV footage produced no lead. Under lost-property law, ownership transferred to A after deductions of 5.77 million won, including a 22% tax and the cost of a local newspaper notice.
