Bitkub began supporting USDT deposits and withdrawals on the Aptos network on September 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM GMT+7. The integration gives the exchange’s more than 5 million registered users a direct way to move USDT through Aptos, although they must first generate a new wallet address for Aptos transactions. It also connects Aptos-based USDT transfers with Thai baht on- and off-ramps. Aptos-native USDT transfers cost approximately $0.0005 and reach finality in less than a second, meaning transactions settle almost immediately and cannot then be reversed. The rollout follows Tether’s October 2024 launch of native USDT on Aptos using the network’s Move-based fungible asset standard, rather than a wrapped or bridged version. Bitkub Academy partnered with the Aptos Foundation in July 2024 to expand blockchain and Web3 education in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Taiwan’s MAX exchange added support at the same time as Bitkub, while South Korea’s Bithumb and Upbit began supporting Aptos-native USDT in 2025. The research cited in the rollout presents the integration as a cost and user-experience improvement over networks such as Tron, and suggests such exchange support may increase Aptos trading volumes as stablecoins gain acceptance as payment tools among Asian institutions.
