Jalen Duren will remain with the Detroit Pistons under a fully guaranteed, five-year, $200 million contract, ESPN and The Athletic reported Thursday. The 22-year-old All-NBA center had been a restricted free agent, and negotiations had stalled for months after Detroit reportedly offered less partly because of concerns about his playoff performance. Duren averaged 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in the playoffs after posting career highs of 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds during the regular season. Detroit finished 60-22 with the Eastern Conference’s best record before losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a seven-game conference semifinal series. The Pistons had reportedly offered the same $200 million package in recent days with a weight clause, which was removed from the new agreement.
