Hana Financial Group formally opened its Cheongna headquarters in Incheon on October 2, completing the Hana Financial Town project launched with the city in 2012. The group relocated its headquarters, integrated data center and Hana Global Campus to Cheongna International City. About 2,200 employees from Hana Financial Group and 10 affiliates will move in phases, while the wider complex will employ about 4,000 finance and IT specialists, including existing data-center personnel. Hana Financial estimates the relocation will produce about 3.4 trillion won ($2.45 billion) in direct and indirect economic effects over the next 10 years and support about 15,000 direct and indirect jobs, including positions linked to partner companies. The concentration of financial, technology, data, artificial-intelligence research and talent-development functions is intended to strengthen connections between finance, IT, data and digital industries.
