CaseBioscience has joined a multidisciplinary team led by Likarda that received up to $7.3 million from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health through its BioStabilization Systems program. The initiative seeks to develop technologies for producing, storing and shipping living-cell medicines at room temperature without refrigeration. The Reversible Ambient Biostabilization team is one of three selected for the program and includes CaseBioscience, Draper, CPSI Biotech, Fresenius Kabi, Likarda, MiNK Therapeutics and the Spencer Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder. Its initial phase runs for 15 months from Sept. 24, 2026, combining preservation science, cell biology, cellular metabolism, bioengineering, immunology, stem-cell biology, formulation and manufacturing expertise. The work addresses the cost and complexity of cold-chain logistics that limit wider access to cell therapies. CaseBioscience will contribute expertise in clinical culture-media formulation, biopreservation and cellular metabolism. The press release is dated Oct. 3, 2026, while the existing record dated the announcement Oct. 2, 2026.
