South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone lifted their trading caution designation on The Sandbox (SAND) on Oct. 2, after determining that the issues behind the warning had been resolved. SAND traded at $0.06925 at 9:50 p.m., up 61.15% from a day earlier, and briefly reached about $0.07. The designation followed unusual token production on The Sandbox’s cross-chain bridge in August, prompting restrictions on SAND deposits and withdrawals. The exchange decision drove stronger demand for SAND against the South Korean won, but the rally pushed the daily relative strength index above 77 and shorter-term readings above 90, increasing the risk of profit-taking. Prices and percentage changes may differ across platforms because of variations in data release times.
