Celestia said its Fibre data-availability system sustained an average 3.07 terabits per second during a full end-to-end benchmark involving 120 validators. The test maintained that rate across a 143-second load window, with each validator running on its own AWS machine, while the system encoded data blobs, distributed and stored pieces, collected validator signatures and submitted commitments onchain. Celestia said the measured throughput represents enough raw data for nearly 2 billion transactions per second under the benchmark’s assumptions, a comparison with data capacity rather than a production transaction count. The company presented the result as evidence of a potential high-throughput infrastructure model for rollups, while stressing that real-world performance must still be assessed under latency, geographic, hardware, security and economic constraints.
