South Korean crypto exchanges Bithumb and Upbit expanded local access to two AI-linked projects on Oct. 2, 2026. Bithumb added Talus, ticker US, to its Korean won market with a reference price of KRW37.85 and trading scheduled for 3 p.m. Korea Standard Time. Deposits for US are supported only through the Sui network. Upbit scheduled Dolphin, ticker POD, to begin trading at 4 p.m. across KRW, BTC and USDT markets, with reference prices of KRW428, 0.00000367 BTC and 0.3147 USDT. POD deposits and withdrawals are supported only through Base. Talus is an onchain AI-agent platform that combines verifiable blockchain records with offchain computation, while Dolphin distributes AI inference work across unused GPUs. Talus uses US for functions including service pricing, staking (locking tokens to support a network and earn rewards) and governance-related participation. POD is used for staking and bonding within Dolphin’s network. Both exchanges imposed launch restrictions, including short purchasing limits and an initial period in which only limit orders were available. CoinGecko data showed Talus near $0.0376, up roughly 40% over 24 hours, and Dolphin near $0.6765, up roughly 115%, although the direct effect of the Korean listings could not be isolated from broader trading activity. The listings came as South Korea’s five main won exchanges reported a 54.6% year-over-year decline in first-half trading volume, with Upbit retaining most local liquidity.
