Blue Owl Capital's flagship private credit funds received $4.2 billion in third-quarter withdrawal requests, down from $4.7 billion in the prior quarter, while the technology-focused Blue Owl Technology Income Corp. (OTIC) remained under substantial redemption pressure. Blue Owl Credit Income Corp. (OCIC), a $35.1 billion non-traded business development company, received requests for 16.8% of shares, or $3.1 billion, down from 18.8% in the prior period. OTIC investors requested 39% of shares, compared with 38.1% previously, largely through resubmissions of unfulfilled tenders. Blue Owl said it has provided OTIC approximately $446 million of liquidity over six months, equal to 35% of original requests, and said both funds have delivered annualized returns exceeding 9% since inception. The firm expects higher base rates to improve the funds' earnings potential. Across private credit, managers including Cliffwater, KKR and Blackstone have continued to limit withdrawals as investors scrutinize valuations, underwriting and software-sector exposure.
