NEAR Intents said all funds stolen in an exploit worth about $3.8 million have been returned, ending an investigation that began after the protocol identified the attacker and demanded repayment within 48 hours. Alex Shevchenko, who leads NEAR Intents, said the investigation would be halted and urged users to use the platform's bug bounty program rather than conduct attacks that disrupt services. The exploit stemmed from a flaw involving Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and the NEAR Intents smart contract, with losses limited to USDT on BSC, according to NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin. NEAR Intents patched the issue within an hour, restored services and had pledged to compensate affected users fully.
