Xryma directors Taoushanis and Pegasiou resign effective Sept. 30, 2026

  • Xryma Plc announced resignations by Independent Non-Executive Directors Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou.
  • Nearly 10 years marked Taoushanis’ service on Xryma’s board before his resignation.
  • Sept. 30, 2026 marked the effective date for both directors’ departures.

Xryma Plc, which trades as ISX Financial®, said Independent Non-Executive Directors Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou resigned effective Sept. 30, 2026. Taoushanis served on the board for nearly 10 years and chaired the company from its authorization as an Electronic Money Institution (regulated issuer of electronic money) by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). He said CBC governance policies no longer allow him to be considered independent after more than 10 years on a CBC-regulated company’s board, preventing his continued tenure as Chairman. Pegasiou, appointed on June 17, 2022, said his full-time role as Academic Director of the European Institute of Management and Finance leaves insufficient time for the company’s increasingly complex board responsibilities. Xryma’s Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nikogiannis Karantzis, thanked both directors for their contributions. The Cyprus-headquartered banktech group operates in Cyprus, Lithuania and the United Kingdom and provides cross-border open banking, international transactional banking and real-time European Union and U.K. payment services.
