FieldAI reportedly raised $700 million at a $10 billion valuation, more than quadrupling the California robotics startup’s $2 billion valuation in just over a year. A Friday Business Insider report said the lead venture capital firm was unclear, while FieldAI did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment. Founded in 2023, the company is developing a general robot intelligence system for humanoids, robot dogs, drones and industrial rovers. It has added at least $35 million in revenue and customer contracts since June, taking the total above $135 million. Earlier investors included NVentures, Intel Capital, Bezos Expeditions, Gates Frontier, Samsung, Khosla Ventures, Temasek, Prysm Capital and Canaan Partners, while Hyundai Motor Group invested several million dollars earlier this year. The reported valuation places FieldAI near Physical Intelligence and Skild AI, valued at roughly $11 billion and more than $14 billion, respectively. The investment case depends on whether FieldAI can make its software operate reliably in unpredictable real-world environments, a challenge that remains more difficult than controlled, single-task robotics.
