Casey’s is continuing its expansion, with 31 new convenience stores scheduled to open through January 2027 in states including Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Ohio and Oklahoma. The company operates nearly 3,000 stores across 19 states, making it the third-largest convenience store retailer and fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States, according to its website. The new locations will add to the 19 stores Casey’s has opened since May. Founded in Boone, Iowa, in 1968, the Ankeny-headquartered company is known for serving smaller communities: about two-thirds of its stores are in areas with populations of 20,000 or fewer. Its stores sell convenience items, pizza, wings, sandwiches and breakfast foods, alongside self-service fuel.
