Resonant Clinical Solutions has acquired Germany-based Labfish Rental Solutions GmbH and its subsidiaries in the United States and the United Kingdom, bringing the companies' clinical and laboratory equipment rental and calibration operations under Resonant. The transaction expands Resonant's equipment and ancillary materials division in Europe and strengthens its ability to support increasingly complex clinical-trial programs worldwide. Labfish, headquartered in Hamburg and founded in 2014, rents laboratory equipment including scales, freezers, refrigerators, infusion pumps and monitors, as well as kits and ancillary supplies. It also provides calibration, Importer of Record (IOR) and Exporter of Record (EOR) services, and direct-to-patient logistics. Through affiliated depots in Argentina, Israel, Turkey and China, Labfish supplies clinical-trial sites in more than 70 countries. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and operates one of Europe's largest in-house calibration facilities serving clinical trials. Resonant CEO Christophe Berthoux said the acquisition broadens the company's European presence and strengthens its calibration and import-export services, while supporting its strategy of covering more stages of the global clinical-trial process. Labfish founder Martin Forster said the combination would allow his team to expand its calibration expertise, warehouse network, logistics and import-export services with the support of Resonant's broader capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed. Resonant provides clinical supply-chain and sample-lifecycle services through its biorepository, kit preparation, and equipment and ancillary materials divisions. It has more than 850 employees in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, stores more than 100 million research assets, has supported more than 2,500 clinical trials and has facilitated more than 20,000 shipments to customer facilities. Its customers include pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, contract research organizations, contract development and manufacturing organizations, and diagnostic and reference laboratories.
