Genius has officially ended its second season after distributing 173 million GP, below the originally planned 200 million GP. It also introduced a full-fee refund mechanism, with applications open from Oct. 6 at 11:00 a.m. ET through Oct. 11 at 11:00 a.m. ET. Users who choose refunds will receive back 100% of the fees they paid to Genius during Season 2, but will forfeit their GP rewards; the corresponding repurchased GENIUS will be permanently burned. Users who do not seek refunds can choose from Oct. 12 during a second five-day window either to unlock their allocation immediately with an 85% deduction or to lock it for 24 months and receive 100% of the airdrop allocation. The 173 million GP distributed in Season 2 represents a potential claimable allocation of up to 6.055% of GENIUS's total supply. The remaining 0.945% will be automatically burned, alongside GENIUS associated with refunds.
