XRP Asia has launched in Singapore with backing from Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation to expand XRP Ledger, or XRPL, adoption across Asia-Pacific. Led by Sabrina Tachdjian, the organization will provide developers with training, technical support, hackathons, office hours and ship-it clinics, while helping startups access infrastructure providers, commercial partners, grants, incubators and investors. The initiative builds on XRPL communities in Japan and Korea and follows Ripple funding programs including the Japan and Korea Fund and its June 2025 partnership with Web3 Salon, which offered eligible Japanese XRPL startups up to $200,000 per project over the following year. Ripple President Monica Long has separately said the company is discussing a 2027 objective to route more customer transaction volume directly through XRPL and expand a decentralized-exchange payments pilot. Ripple also plans to connect payment customers with XRPL lending infrastructure, including the proposed XLS-66 framework for fixed-term, uncollateralized loans funded through pooled assets. The amendment remains a draft requiring validator approval before activation.
