Andrew Tate transferred 20,950 HYPE to Binance on Oct. 3 in a deposit valued at about $1.87 million, blockchain tracker Lookonchain said, as HYPE traded near $87.87 after falling 2.7% over 24 hours. The tokens came from a position of 122,827 HYPE bought at roughly $4.48 each about two years ago for approximately $550,000. Tate still held 63,550 HYPE after the transfer, while Lookonchain calculated total HYPE profits of $7.24 million, a 1,317% return. The deposit does not establish that the tokens were sold. HYPE traded within a recent range, with data indicating support around the mid-$80s and resistance near $91 to $92. Hyperliquid’s Assistance Fund automatically converts eligible fees into HYPE and permanently burns the purchased tokens. Hyperliquid said annualized fees exceeded $1 billion, while HL Eco data showed 14.58 million USDC awaiting transfer from a reserve-yield framework toward the fund. The wallet became publicly traceable after Tate posted a screenshot in June 2025 showing a 138.5% gain on a leveraged ether long alongside his Hyperliquid referral code. The same wallet has recorded substantial leveraged-trading losses, including more than $583,000 in cumulative losses across 76 trades reported in June 2025, a $727,000 Hyperliquid deposit that Arkham later said was lost without a withdrawal, and more than 100 liquidations reported by Lookonchain before a 40x bitcoin long was partially liquidated. Those perpetual-futures trades are separate from the spot HYPE position. Lookonchain’s profit figures are calculations from on-chain data, and its summary leaves 59,277 HYPE unaccounted for between the original purchase and the deposited and retained holdings, suggesting earlier sales may explain part of the reported gain.
