Polygon has exceeded $3 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfer volume, with $1.67 trillion, or roughly 55%, recorded since January 2025. The network processed $933 billion in 2025, up from $276 billion in 2024, and another $741 billion so far in 2026. That means Polygon handled more stablecoin value in the past 21 months than in its previous four years combined. The acceleration coincides with Polygon’s effort to develop payments infrastructure, including use by Revolut, Mastercard, Cash App, Deel and Tazapay. Revolut alone moved $810 million through Polygon in 2025, while PayPal USD began issuing natively on the chain this summer. Capacity upgrades, batch-settlement tests and private stablecoin payments using zero-knowledge technology have expanded the network’s payments offering. The figures point to growth increasingly linked to stablecoin payments rather than speculative onchain activity alone.
