The tokenized credit market’s onchain market cap and assets under management reached $6.17 billion, or about $6.2 billion, as of October 1, 2026, down 2.8% from $6.35 billion on July 3, according to the RWA Foundation’s Q3 2026 report prepared with Token Terminal. Over the same period, unique holder addresses increased 12.1% to 28,840. The report, published October 4, 2026, covers 64 assets from 13 issuers across 16 blockchains and uses Token Terminal data on circulating market cap and assets under management to measure live onchain activity rather than announced pipelines. Maple Finance recorded the largest market-cap decline, losing $402.7 million, but added 2,160 holder addresses, about 69% of the sector’s net increase. Hastra and USDai together gained $372.5 million, led by Hastra’s PRIME, USDai’s sUSDai and Maple’s syrupUSDG. The market remains concentrated, with Tradable and Maple Finance holding more than 60% combined. The report update did not provide trading-volume data for RWAFoundation. The findings come as BlackRock has also entered the tokenization space with a substantial asset base, underscoring the broader use of blockchain in financial applications. The growing holder count points to broader participation, although addresses are only a directional measure because one participant can control multiple wallets. Dispersal across 16 blockchains may also spread liquidity thin and make larger transactions more difficult than headline market-cap figures suggest.
