A new wave of attacks on vessels around the Strait of Hormuz is threatening the recovery of Middle Eastern oil exports after Gulf producers pushed crude shipments toward prewar levels. The rebound in recent weeks has been supported by U.S. naval protection and earlier strikes that knocked out Iranian radar and communications along the contested waterway. The United Arab Emirates and other producers have organized tanker shuttle runs, with vessels loading inside the Persian Gulf, exiting Hormuz and transferring crude to tankers waiting outside the strait.
