US stocks face a potentially volatile week as earnings reports, Federal Reserve decisions, the midterm elections and the conflict between the US and Iran converge while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average remain near record highs. PepsiCo is under pressure ahead of its results after falling more than 24% from its yearly peak and reaching its lowest level since June last year. Analysts expect third-quarter revenue of $24.97 billion and earnings per share (profit attributed to each share) of $2.30. Delta Air Lines is due to report on Friday, with analysts forecasting revenue of $18.83 billion and EPS of $1.88 despite jet-fuel costs rising more than 106% from a year earlier. Nvidia also remains in focus after reaching a record high and announcing a $150 billion share repurchase program, in addition to its existing $80 billion program. Results from suppliers SK Hynix and Taiwan Semiconductor, along with reports from clients Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon, could provide further information about Nvidia's demand.
