John Koudounis, president and CEO of Calamos Investments, continues to forecast Bitcoin reaching $1 million, although he has relaxed his original 2030 deadline. Bitcoin was trading around $82,703, about 35% below its October 2025 record of $126,198, after a series of declines. Koudounis argues that blockchain-based settlement can address delays and costs in cross-border payments, while wider access through banks and investment products could bring Bitcoin into mainstream portfolios. He also believes Bitcoin’s decline ended on Oct. 6, a call followed by further losses to about $80,600 two days later.
