Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation has adjourned its special shareholder meeting to Oct. 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, saying votes received so far strongly support its proposed corporate structure simplification but additional time is needed for shareholders to vote. The Aug. 21 record date remains unchanged, and registered shareholders must submit proxies by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Oct. 27. The separate Brookfield Infrastructure Partners unitholder meeting remains scheduled for Oct. 14 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. The proposed transaction would combine BIP and BIPC into a single publicly traded corporation, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners Inc., with expected benefits including improved liquidity, broader investor access, simpler reporting and enhanced governance. The boards of both entities unanimously support the transaction, as do Glass Lewis for both companies and ISS for BIP unitholders. If the required approvals are obtained, a final court hearing is expected around Nov. 3, with completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026 subject to court and regulatory approvals.
