U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $56.1 million in net outflows on October 9, extending their withdrawal streak to nine consecutive sessions. Total net assets fell from $17.69 billion on October 5 to $15.71 billion on October 9, a decline of about $1.98 billion. However, aggregate investor withdrawals during that period totaled about $542 million, meaning roughly 27.4% of the asset decline came from redemptions and most resulted from Ether’s price drop. ETH traded at $2,496, down 6.9% over the past week but up 1.1% over 30 days. Daily outflows peaked at $201.9 million on October 6 before easing to $56.1 million on October 9. The latest inflow occurred on September 28, when the funds attracted about $17 million. The nine-session run matches an earlier streak from June 17 to June 30. Existing market data also showed $5 billion in ETH short positions against $1.53 billion in longs, while Binance customers reduced their ETH holdings by 183,602 in September. A separate report covering the week ending October 10 recorded $542.1 million in aggregate Ethereum ETF outflows and said Ether fell more than 7% below its 50-day moving average. Bitcoin funds recorded $21.13 million in inflows on Friday after losing $729 million across October 7 and 8. Solana ETFs also ended a 14-week inflow streak, although the weekly report did not disclose the amount.
