Orbio, an AI project in the Robinhood ecosystem, has raised $1.2 million in seed funding from undisclosed investors. The project operates an AI inference-credit marketplace on Robinhood Chain, allowing users to access more than 400 models, including Claude Fable, GPT Astra and Gemini, through an OpenAI-compatible API. Requests are routed to the selected model, while prompts are not stored. Staking ORBIO earns CREDIT, with each CREDIT representing $1 of Orbio inference. CREDIT can be held, transferred, traded on an on-chain order book or activated into an API balance, which burns the CREDIT. AI agents can also buy CREDIT without staking. Orbio is additionally developing infrastructure through which agents can secure and configure computing resources, hardware and dedicated high-performance systems. Public information says ORBIO was issued on the Pons platform using an Nvidia stock token as its pool. At press time, ORBIO had a $53.42 million market capitalization and a 26% 24-hour gain, while relatively small trading volume and high price volatility warranted caution.
