Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies Inc. (BMNR) and co-founder of Fundstrat, now expects Ethereum to climb above $5,000 by year-end. The latest forecast is a sharp reduction from the $10,000 level he had described as conservative barely more than a week earlier. Lee still projects ETH could reach between $25,000 and $50,000 during the current market cycle and has said it could reach about $7,500 if Bitcoin rises above $100,000. He has linked that longer-term outlook to ETH's extended trading within a similar range over the past five years and continued base-building. Market prediction data show traders assign only a 4% probability to ETH reaching $5,000 by the end of 2026.
