Japanese manufacturer Omron Corporation will acquire U.S. industrial PC maker OnLogic and its parent, Interlogic, for $675 million, or approximately ¥110 billion, on an enterprise value basis. The consideration will be paid entirely in cash, funded primarily from cash on hand. The deal is intended to support physical AI services within Omron’s industrial automation business by combining OnLogic’s industrial computing capabilities with Omron’s high-precision control technology. Interlogic will become a wholly owned Omron subsidiary, while OnLogic will retain its brand, management team and independent operations. The transaction follows a May collaboration between Omron Robotics and Italian automation company Comau on industrial manufacturing services. Omron shares were roughly flat in Tokyo morning trading, while the Nikkei 225 fell around 2.2%.
