Mezo has suspended deposits for swBTC, USDe, SolvBTC and xSolvBTC and set separate deadlines for withdrawing them. Bridge-out support for swBTC and USDe closes on October 13, 2026, while SolvBTC and xSolvBTC remain supported through October 29. The schedule revises an earlier plan that placed all four deadlines on October 13. After each cutoff, the tokens can no longer be bridged from Mezo to Ethereum, and Mezo has not specified a recovery process for balances left behind. Its documented withdrawal process burns the user’s Mezo representation, requires validator confirmation and delivers the original ERC-20 asset on Ethereum. Mezo previously cited limited route usage as it shifted resources toward higher-usage services. DefiLlama data showed roughly $1.87k in bridged volume for each of USDe and mUSDe, while native BTC bridge-in access was also scheduled to close on October 13. Separately, an October 5 exploit drained approximately 5.52 BTC from 37 veBTC positions and was not identified as the reason for the bridge shutdowns.
