Investors who bought Anavex Life Sciences Corp. (NASDAQ: AVXL) securities between Nov. 26, 2025, and Aug. 28, 2026, may seek appointment as lead plaintiff in a proposed securities class action by Nov. 30, 2026. The complaint alleges that Anavex did not adequately disclose internal-control deficiencies or potential regulatory challenges stemming from conduct by former CEO Christopher Missling, PhD. Anavex terminated Missling on April 30, 2026, after an independent board committee found conduct inconsistent with company policy. The company later disclosed ineffective internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure procedures for periods ending Sept. 30 and Dec. 31, 2025. Shares fell 6.35% to $2.80 on Aug. 31 after the company filed amended reports and delayed quarterly filings. The allegations have not been adjudicated.
