Jito upgraded its Solana-based Block Assembly Marketplace, or BAM, reducing bundle submission latency by about 50 milliseconds and increasing average rewards per successfully submitted bundle by 72%, Crypto Briefing reported. A bundle packages multiple transactions for joint inclusion in a block, while BAM operates as a marketplace where bundles compete for block space. The upgrade comes as Solana moves to a 200-millisecond target slot time starting from epoch 1053. Jito previously introduced Direct Bundle Ingest, allowing trading firms to send bundles directly to BAM nodes without passing through the Jito Block Engine. DBI remains restricted to a whitelist, with further filtering, spam controls and a broader rollout planned. Comparisons covering September and October 2026 showed fewer unique bundles received but higher landing rates, rewards and total tips, although the figures did not isolate DBI's effect from forwarded Block Engine traffic, filtering changes or wider growth in Solana's tip market.
