OKX Global Managing Partner and Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique is set to leave the crypto exchange by the end of 2026 after nearly seven years, according to people familiar with the matter and Bloomberg reporting. Rafique joined the company, then known as OKEx, in March 2020 and helped lead its rebrand to OKX, secure Intercontinental Exchange's strategic investment, and develop partnerships with McLaren Formula 1, Manchester City and the Tribeca Festival. ICE took a minority stake in March 2026 at a roughly $25 billion valuation in a deal reportedly worth about $200 million and received a board seat; the companies subsequently formed the 50-50 OKXICE joint venture. Rafique later described the move as a personal decision to focus on family and other personal matters. No successor or formal explanation of the departure has been announced as OKX expands its U.S. presence and regulated products, including tokenized equities.
