Google will begin an in-account certification rollout in the United Arab Emirates on October 21, 2026, allowing licensed advertisers to promote crypto exchanges, wallets, forex products and CFDs (contracts for difference) to UAE users. Crypto advertisers must obtain Google’s approval and hold a license from an approved local regulator, with the latest policy update specifically highlighting the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) and Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA). The requirements reflect UAE rules barring unlicensed entities, including foreign firms, from promoting virtual-asset services to UAE residents. Approved campaigns will carry an "Eligible (Limited)" status, while noncompliant advertisers could receive warnings or have their accounts suspended. Google will continue to prohibit advertising for initial coin offerings (ICOs), decentralized finance (DeFi) trading protocols, crypto loans and unlicensed crypto products. The rollout follows a February 2025 policy change and is viewed as an implementation step rather than a broad expansion of eligible products. Prediction-market activity reflects a modest expectation of higher Bitcoin valuations by the end of 2026, although uncertainty remains. Market participants will watch Google’s certification process, compliance by exchanges and wallet providers, and possible regulatory responses in other regions.
