President Donald Trump’s flagship super PAC, MAGA Inc., reported spending nearly $277 million since the beginning of September as Republicans fight to retain their slim House and Senate majorities ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. The spending includes $200 million transferred to No Going Back PAC Inc. and $25 million to Safety & Affordability PAC Inc. Trump said he planned to spend more than $400 million by Election Day, including $300 million already committed to advertising, voter contact, rallies, get-out-the-vote efforts and election-integrity programs. The late advertising push has raised costs, while Trump-affiliated groups have focused heavily on Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton’s race against Democrat James Talarico. MAGA Inc. had more than $164 million in cash as of Oct. 14. Trump’s 31% job approval rating and voter frustration over high costs and the war with Iran add to the Republicans’ midterm challenge, although the party retains a major financial advantage aided by donors including Elon Musk and other billionaires.
