Up to 1.3 billion SpaceX shares worth approximately $200 billion became eligible for trading on Thursday, October 22, marking the company’s largest scheduled post-IPO unlock. The shares are held by eligible employees and early investors restricted under IPO agreements. SPCX stock fell more than 5% as the shares became available, after initially rising 7.8% when SpaceX reported record third-quarter results. Revenue reached $14.58 billion, up 161% from a year earlier, while net income was $4.4 billion, compared with a $1.1 billion loss in the corresponding 2025 quarter. A further 328 million shares are scheduled to become tradable on October 26, while Elon Musk’s shares remain restricted until June 2027. SpaceX’s Super Intelligence division generated $7.56 billion in quarterly revenue after the $60 billion Cursor acquisition, while Connectivity revenue rose 69% to $5.25 billion. Capital spending reached $19.59 billion. The newly available shares increase potential supply, although an unlock does not automatically result in selling.
