The U.S. Dollar Index, or DXY, fell toward 101.5 on Friday for a third consecutive session, while the 10-year Treasury yield was little changed near a seven-week low at 4.93% as investors sought government bonds during a global technology and artificial-intelligence stock sell-off. Disappointing earnings from Alphabet, Amazon and Intel renewed concerns about the sustainability of heavy AI spending. The dollar weakened despite stronger-than-expected third-quarter U.S. GDP growth at a 3.4% annualized rate and September PCE inflation rising 0.5%, its largest monthly increase since March. The Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Bank of Japan held rates unchanged during the week, while markets continued pricing December rate-hike risks, including roughly 72% to 75% for the Federal Reserve and additional tightening into 2027.
