Yuhan Corporation and Boehringer Ingelheim Korea are expanding their partnership beyond pharmaceutical co-marketing into digital healthcare and broader healthcare innovation in South Korea. Under a strategic memorandum of understanding announced on Oct. 30, the companies will explore joint work in digital healthcare, patient support, disease awareness, early diagnosis, medical education and scientific exchange. They will also consider introducing innovative medicines, conducting clinical cooperation in cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic diseases, and developing real-world evidence from clinical data. The partnership began in 2010 with Twynsta for hypertension and later expanded to Trajenta and Jardiance for diabetes, followed by Actilyse last year and Metalyse this year for cerebrovascular disease. The companies may establish a joint working group and develop a long-term cooperation model through engagement with medical institutions, academia and research organizations.
