Mask Network disclosed three data-breach incidents within one week, involving a vendor, a bank and an engineer’s laptop. The company said none of the incidents resulted from vulnerabilities in the blockchain, but instead involved centralized storage points susceptible to attacks. In a statement on X, Mask Network urged the industry to reconsider mass data collection and said the focus should include why large volumes of personal information are accumulated in vulnerable locations. The company said, "The safest data may be the data no one hoards."
