Bitget will introduce dynamic leverage and tiered margin management for major forex trading pairs on Nov. 1, 2026. The adjusted maximum leverage for 21 listed pairs, including EURUSD and USDJPY, will be 1:2000. Margin will be calculated progressively across exposure tiers, ranging from 0.050% for positions up to 50,000 USDT to 5.00% for exposure above 100 million USDT. The changes are intended to improve capital efficiency and risk management, but traders were warned that leverage adjustments can affect margin ratios and trigger liquidation if maintenance requirements are breached. An existing Bitget CFD notice also said the platform would move its system time from GMT+3 to GMT+2 on Nov. 1, suspend services during scheduled windows, revise selected instrument hours, impose temporary leverage limits around specified U.S. economic releases from Nov. 2-6, and publish maintenance windows of 14:00-16:00 and 14:00-15:00 UTC+8 on Nov. 1.
