Samsung Electro-Mechanics has signed an 879.3 billion-won, or approximately $659.3 million, contract with an undisclosed global company to supply multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for artificial-intelligence servers. The one-year agreement begins Dec. 21 and is the company’s eighth long-term supply agreement announced this year and its second-largest MLCC contract. Samsung Electro-Mechanics said its long-term agreements covering silicon capacitors, MLCCs and inductors for AI servers totaled 5.18 trillion won in 2026. The company has signed or is negotiating high-value-added MLCC agreements with about 50 customers and expects them to account for more than half of MLCC revenue next year. It holds more than 40% of the global AI-server MLCC market, while Goldman Sachs expects that market to expand from $1.4 billion in 2025 to $5.8 billion in 2030.
