Hyundai Wia said third-quarter consolidated operating profit increased 5.5% from a year earlier to 54.7 billion won ($41.0 million), while revenue rose 14.3% to 2.459 trillion won ($1.8 billion). Higher engine volumes in South Korea and Mexico, along with growth in module and thermal management operations, drove the performance. Module revenue increased 18%, while thermal management revenue surged 160% year on year, supported by higher air-conditioning volumes. Revenue in the mobility division rose 15.1% to 2.2884 trillion won as thermal management expanded alongside modules and engines. The company is reshaping its portfolio around future mobility through the ongoing sale of its defense unit and plans to direct the proceeds and management resources toward core mobility components and growth areas including thermal management and robotics. Through 2035, Hyundai Wia plans to invest about 1.8 trillion won in research and development, about 1 trillion won in expanding global production bases and about 900 billion won in developing new businesses.
