SOOP’s third-quarter operating profit rose 15% from the previous quarter to 14.5 billion won ($10 million), supported by a 35.4% recovery in advertising revenue to 36.8 billion won. Consolidated revenue increased 1.8% sequentially to 105.7 billion won ($74 million), while net profit rose 21% to 10.6 billion won, according to a regulatory filing on the 30th. However, SOOP said profitability deteriorated sharply from a year earlier as platform revenue declined. Growth was supported by brand campaigns around major game leagues and events, including FC Online and the Valorant VCT Busan road show, while content-based advertising climbed 54.6% to 19.5 billion won. The company expects fourth-quarter momentum from returning leading streamers and stronger year-end brand marketing, and will retain its policy of paying cash dividends above 25% of consolidated net profit after retiring 306,375 treasury shares.
